OCTOBER 20, 2006 EXCLUSIVE! "CHANCES: THE WOMEN OF MAGDALENE" The documentary directed by Tom Neff is avalaible on DVD In 2003 several Nashville songwriters joined with a program that helps get drug-addicted prostitutes off the streets. Kim Carnes and songwriters Greg Barnhill, Marcus Hummon, Lari White and Chuck Cannon sat down with clients of the Magdalene program to write songs about their experiences. Kim and Greg sat with a woman who had been in and out of prison and who had her three children taken from her by the state. The woman eventually found the Magdalene program and found God. The resulting song, "It's a Mighty Hand", is a gospel-flavored mid-tempo ballad: "You're gonna find you're all right when you land in the mighty hand."

FEBRUARY 10, 2006 CHASIN' WILD TRAINS - LIMITED EDITION Blue-eyed soul singer Kim Carnes’ brilliant new album Chasin’ Wild Trains is now available as a limited edition with 2 bonus tracks e.g. an acoustic version of the classic ‘Bette Davis Eyes’ plus an acoustic version of the new single ‘Just To See You Smile’. E-Zine KindaMuzik wrote: ‘The songs on Chasin’ Wild Trains are a beautiful mix of Americana, Singer-songwriter and Country rock. Highlights include the catchy Lucid Dreams (a duet with Chuck Prophet) and the ballad If I Was An Angel. Carnes’ raspy voice reminds me strongly of colleague-songwriters like Lucinda Williams and Melissa Etheridge, but nevertheless has its own sound. Chasin’ Wild Trains is simply a very beautiful’.
